Your Data and AI Training

We do not use your personal health data to train AI models. Your data is used solely to generate personalized insights for you within the Service.

WellAware uses third-party AI providers to process your data, currently including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Together.ai. Each of these providers processes API requests without using that data to train their models, per their respective API terms of service:

Aggregated, de-identified data may be used to improve the overall Service quality, but this will never include identifiable health or personal information.

  • Provide AI-generated insights, reports, and recommendations

These providers receive only the data necessary to fulfill your specific request. They do not retain your data for model training purposes. We evaluate all AI partners against strict data handling standards before use, and will update this list if our providers change.

We will never sell or disclose identifiable health or personal data without your consent.

6. Data Security and Retention

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security assessments.

  • Health and wellness data: Retained until you delete your account or revoke access

  • AI conversation history: Retained for continuity; you may request deletion at any time

8. HIPAA and Future Compliance

WellAware AI is not currently a HIPAA-covered entity and does not have Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) in place with its AI processing partners. As a result, you should not submit Protected Health Information (PHI) — such as medical records, diagnoses, prescriptions, or insurance information — through this Service. WellAware is designed for general wellness insights based on wearable data, not clinical health management.

We take data privacy seriously and are actively working toward full HIPAA compliance as the platform matures. We will update this policy when that milestone is reached and BAAs are established with all relevant service providers.

9. International Data Transfers

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

10. Childrens Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age.
